At our special Beach of Dreams community film-screening we will be showing short films from the Collecting Dreams, Shifting Futures project and Beach of Dreams.
Funded by Historic England and run by community-driven art and design organisation Kinetika, ‘Collecting Dreams, Shifting Futures’ is a story-gathering project uniting communities in Great Yarmouth, Harwich and Orford Ness.
With a special emphasis on coastal heritage, the project centres on inclusivity and working with diverse local communities.

Collecting Dreams, Shifting Futures is part of the national Beach of Dreams 2025 project.
Beach of Dreams is taking place 1 May – 1 June 2025. It is a UK-wide coastal arts festival exploring the unique heritage, cultures, and futures of our coastlines in the face of the climate emergency. Find out more at beachofdreams.org.

The film was commissioned by Kinetika and Essex Cultural Diversity Project, following the walkers on their journey across diverse terrains and coastlines. Hear form participants as they reflect on their personal connections to their coastline and their hopes for the future of our beaches.
