For Essex Book Festival, Metal is once again transforming their base at Chalkwell Hall in Southend into a Pop-Up Essex Writers House for the whole of March, hosting literary events and activities for all to enjoy. There will be talks, workshops and seminars; book club gatherings; open mic sessions for writers to test out new work; writers-in-residence; and writing ‘hot desks’ with stunning Estuary views.

There will also be events for children and families, as part of the Writers House.
