The distinctive white\, flat roofed houses were designed to be “full of air\, light and space” with large gardens and civic amenities incorporated into the countryside village. It was no wonder Silver End was quickly dubbed the “metal window kingdom of happiness”. Suitable for all ages - all welcome.\n\nThe walk is led by Jess Twyman\, contributor to ‘Radical Essex’ publication\, 2018.\n\n \n\n\n\n
