Radhika Howarth, Talk & Taste: Flavours Without Borders

A celebration of the power of food to connect people and cultures.

Join Radhika Howarth for a specially curated evening that takes you on a culinary journey around the world, exploring how historical trade routes, migration, and colonial pathways have shaped the way we cook and eat today. Through stories and shared plates, we’ll uncover the cultural connections behind everyday ingredients and iconic dishes.

The tasting menu includes a rich Kenyan kidney bean and coconut stew, bold Tandoori Patatas Bravas, refreshing Indonesian pineapple rojak salad, and the fragrant Shirin Pulao from Azerbaijan—a sweet, saffron-scented rice dish inspired by the Silk Route.

This event is inspired by my book Flavours Without Borders—a celebration of food, memory, and migration. Signed copies will be available on the evening.
An unforgettable evening of food, flavour, and storytelling—served together.

This event will take place at The Commons Community Kitchen & Cafe at The Minories and will include the opportunity to taste some of Radhika’s food.

Flavours Without Borders

Flavours Without Borders book cover

Radhika’s debut cookbook, Flavours Without Borders: 80 Recipes Connecting Cultures and Cuisines, is more than a cookbook — it’s a culinary journey that bridges cultures, histories, and cuisines through the universal language of food. Featuring 80 thoughtfully curated recipes, the book explores how historical trade routes, immigration and colonial pathways have shaped the way we cook and eat today.

Flavours Without Borders is a produce-led cookbook where each ingredient takes centre stage, celebrated through three distinct cuisine styles. This trio of recipes unravels the story of culinary osmosis, showcasing how the exchange of cultures and ideas has shaped the way we cook and eat today. From the kitchens of Porto to the flavours of Panaji, Persia, and Palmyra, this book takes you on a captivating culinary journey around the globe.
